What we believe
We are an autonomous Church holding the doctrines taught by Christian Brethren Assemblies throughout Australia.
Our key doctrinal beliefs are :-
All Scripture is God breathed and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction and training in righteousness. We hold that the Scripture is the final authority on all matters of doctrine and practice, and over rules tradition and experience.
There is one God who is infinite and perfect, existing eternally in three persons, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.
All mankind is sinful from birth and can only be reconciled to God by the atoning work of The Lord Jesus Christ on the cross.
Salvation is available as a gift of Gods grace to all who repent of sin and receive the gift of eternal life by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord. Ephesians 2:8-9 Romans 10:9
The power to serve God in effective ministry is dependent on our allowing the Holy Spirit to be the energy by which we work. Effective ministry happens when a church body uses all the gifts which God has distributed to the members of the body. All born again believers have the Holy Spirit, and by the Spirit are baptised into the Body of Christ. I Corinthians 12:13.
Church government is by a plurality of elders who hold office only by Biblical qualification, and who serve the church not as masters but as servants.
